I encourage you to get the dialectical journal there, because a copy will be created for you to edit. If you view this here, you will have a few more hoops through which to jump...but here it is, just in case. Thank you!

Mrs. Renee Brown
I was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and took many detours on the journey to Alabaster. After Baton Rouge, I lived in Jacksonville, Florida; Rockwood, Clinton, and Oak Ridge, Tennessee; Antioch, (northern) California; Culver City and Glendale (southern) California, with summers in Chicago mixed in for good measure. I have lived in Alabaster for 30 years. I am delighted to have made it here...to a place called home.
I have been at Thompson High School from a snowy January 4, 2001 until this very (not snowy) day! Here at THS I have taught Drama, Speech, Lincoln-Douglas Debate, and Forensic Individual Events. For the past eleven years, I have been teaching AP Literature and Composition (12th) along with an occasional English 12, English 12 Advanced, English 11, or Creative Writing. I was awarded THS Teacher of the Year in 2008. This year I will be teaching AP Literature and English 11.
My husband J.B. and I have two boys: Ryan (a class of 2013 THS grad) and Parker (a class of 2018 grad). We enjoy a busy life filled with watching our sons' band(s) concerts, church and outreach activities, gardening and bird-watching, and--oh, yes--essay reading! :)
