Mrs. Beth House
I graduated from the University of Montevallo with an undergraduate degree in Communication Studies. After working for several years I returned to Montevallo and completed my Master's in Education with a concentration in English Language Arts.
I took a diverse road to becoming a teacher. During a break from college I worked as a farm manager and I travelled for two years with a team of polo ponies across the southeast. Once I graduated from college I went to work for RainBird distribution. During the years I was there I served as an inventory control specialist and then as a warehouse supervisor. In 2002 I decided that I wanted to pursue a teaching career and returned to college. I graduated in December 2003 and started work in January 2004. I have taught at Pelham High School, Thompson Middle School and Thompson High School.
I have been married for almost 16 years and have a 9 year old little girl who is in fourth grade. We have two labrador retrievers, Max and Millie who complete the family! I am an avid runner, having completed numerous half marathons and 7 full marathons. Horses have always been a part of my life. I rode competitively throughout high school and beyond. We live on a small farm where we still keep three horses and my daughter's pony.
