• The 2021-2022 school year marks my 22nd year in education.  This also begins my eleventh year at Thompson Middle School.  Go Warriors!  I have  taught middle school math during my entire teaching time.  I also had the opportunity to teach for the University of Michigan as an adjunct for three years.  I taught middle school mathematics courses for teachers.  It was great!

For three years in Michigan, I served as an administrator in the Department of State and Federal Programs. I was the district's Assessment Coordinator for one year before moving to a School Improvement Coordinator.  As a School Improvement Coordinator, I was in charge of the math and science curriculum for the entire district K-12.  I also designed, lead and coordinated professional development activities for the teachers.  I worked with buildings as a whole writing and implementing school improvement plans.

As much as I enjoyed working with the entire district, my true passion and calling is in the classroom teaching middle school math.  Upon moving to Alabama in 2011, I was fortunate enough to get a math teaching position here at Thompson.  I have absolutely loved it!!  The students and staff are the greatest!
