I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia before attending the University of Montevallo to obtain my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. While there, I competed as a student-athlete on the women's cross country and track & field teams. I am currently pursuing my Masters of Elementary Education at the University of West Alabama. At Thompson Intermediate, I teach 5th grade reading. I also am an assistant cross country and track & field coach at Thompson High School.  I am engaged to the man of my dreams, and will be getting married in February of 2018! I have a dalmatian named Maverick who thinks he is a small lap dog. I have a passion for learning, and am so excited to share this year with my newest group of 5th graders!
