I am excited to begin my second year as a 6th grade reading teacher at Thompson Middle School.   I have previously taught fifth grade at Thompson Intermediate School.   This is my thirteenth year as a Thompson teacher.   I am passionate about helping my students become lifelong readers!   I have been married to my husband,Kevin for twenty five years.  I have one daughter, Molly who is beginning her junior year at Mississippi State.   I love reading, traveling, the beach, spending time with family and friends and Auburn football (and now Mississipi State football!)  I graduated from the University of Montevallo with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and am in the process of finishing my Masters Degree in Library/Media Science from the University of West Alabama.
