Mrs. Ashley Vann
I was born and raised in the small town of Quitman, Mississippi, where I spent much of my childhood on my grandparent's farm. I graduated from Quitman High School and attended Jones County Junior College before transferring to the University of Southern Mississippi where I majored in Elementary Education. Having lived in three different states (Mississippi, Alabama and Texas) since starting my own family, I have had the pleasure of teaching every elementary grade with the exception of second in culturally diverse school systems. Most of my teaching years have been spent in third (8 years) and fourth (11 years) grades.
My husband, Larry, and I moved to Alabaster in 2004 and we have four children, Alexis (who is celebrating her first year of marriage to our wonderful son-in-love, Brandon), Liz, Caleb, and Abby. All of our children graduated from Thompson High School. Our family attends Westwood Baptist Church where I teach a women’s Sunday school class and I have been on several mission trips to Swaziland, Africa. I am an avid reader and my hobbies include cooking, gardening, camping, and in the fall you can find me cheering on the Crimson Tide. ROLL TIDE!
