Mrs. Amy Dillard
I am proud to be a part of the Thompson Intermediate School faculty. Before becoming a counselor at TIS, I was a classroom teacher. My first teaching position was at Midfield High School where I taught Alabama History, coached girls volleyball, and even drove a school bus! I worked in Shelby County Schools in 1991-2000 where I taugh French and History at Shelby County High School and Thompson High School. In 2001, I took a short break after my third child was born to concentrate on raising my family. In 2005, I graduated from the University of Montevallo with my graduate degree in school counseling and accepted my first counseling position at Vincent Middle/High School. I am excited to say that I have been a counselor at Thompson Intermediate School since 2006 and time has flown! My job as a counselor at TIS has been my most rewarding and I love seeing our students grow and mature over the two years we are together.
