Mrs. Tamsin Leeth

In 1992, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi.  A few years later I went back to school and in 1998, I graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders.  In 2000, I received a Master of Science degree from the University of Alabama in Speech-Language Pathology.  Following graduate school, I earned a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

I worked for DCH Health System at DCH Regional Medical Center and Northport Medical Center for a year before taking a job with Shelby County Schools in 2001, where I worked at Thompson Intermediate School and Linda Nolen Learning Center.  In 2004, I began working at Meadow View Elementary School, now part of Alabaster City Schools, and continued to contract with Northport Medical Center until 2011.  Each job has provided wonderful opportunities to work with children and adults with a wide range of needs.  I have enjoyed each job very much and feel that I have grown professionally through each job experience.  I have also met many dear friends along the way.  I am a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and licensed by the Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

My heart is in working with children.  I love seeing them grow and they bring me so much joy!  I am fortunate and thankful to be involved in the lives of so many young students. My favorite thing to do in my free time is spend time with my husband and family.  I also see my family in Mississippi and Missouri as often as I can, and we all go to the beach together each summer.  Mississippi is special to me, and I love visiting home and Oxford throughout the year.  I also enjoy reading, traveling, Ole Miss football, art and spending time with close friends.
