Mrs. Cindy Hutter
I graduated from UAB in 1992 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in early childhood education. I graduated from The University of West Alabama in 2016 with a Master's Degree in early childhood education.
After graduating with my early childhood teaching degree, I spent three years teaching in the Mountain Brook City school system in their child development center at Brookwood Forest Elementary. I taught two year olds for two years and I spent a year teaching 4 year old kindergarten. In 1995, I began teaching at the Birmingham Early Learning Center where I spent the next two years teaching multiple age children. In 1997, my husband and I had our second child. For the next few years, I was a stay at home mom.
The school year 2000-2001 saw the opening of Meadow View Elementary school and I came back to teaching. I spent eight years teaching first grade, one year teaching second grade, and this year will be the ninth year to teach kindergarten. I have trained teachers for the math portion of AMSTI. I have also served on the math, reading, and at-risk operational committees at MVES.
My husband and I have been married for almost 30 years. We have two grown children. Our daughter and son in-law blessed us with our first grandson almost two years ago and will be adding to that blessing this year with another grandson in October! My hobbies include exploring our beautiful state and photographing what I find, hiking, collecting vintage Fisher-Price toys and children's books, and cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide!
I consider it a privilege to be able to teach. It is my calling and I do not take it for granted. I truly could not imagine myself with another career.
