Ms. Beth Bearden
Hello!!!
I was born and raised in Adamsville, AL. I graduated from Minor High School (Go Tigers!) in 1993. I received my B.A. in History and French from Birmingham-Southern College in 1997. Afterwards, I was awarded a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship and spent a year in France researching and writing about community and civil rights in remote areas. When I returned to the United States, I returned to school and received my B.S. in Collaborative Education from Birmingham-Southern College in 2003. I earned my M.S. in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment (K-12) from Walden University in 2014. I was also a part of the Greater Birmingham Mathematics Partnership for 8 years.
When not teaching, I love to spend time with family and my dachshund, Buckle. I also enjoy reading, playing trivia, and word puzzles. My personal and professional heroes are Ruth Parker, Jaime Escalante, Lt. Joe Kenda, and Gayle Wilson.
I have been teaching 3rd Grade at Meadow View Elementary School since 2003. This year, I will be Team Teaching with Mrs. Hipp where I will be teaching Reading and Social Studies. I look forward to an exciting 2020-2021 School Year!
