Mrs. Jennifer Minner
I graduated from Macon Academy in 1984 and then from Auburn University at Montgomery in 1989 with a BS degree in early childhood and elementary education.
I began teaching kindergarten at Western Heights Elementary in Eufaula, Alabama in 1989. I taught there for 2 years and then moved to Shelby County in 1991. I taught kindergarten at Thompson Elementary and then moved to Meadow View when it opened in 2000. For the last 9 years I have been team teaching with Frances Reynolds. I have an awesome time teaching math and exploring science with the students. Mrs. Reynolds is a phenomenal reading teacher, instilling a love of reading.
I was born in Montgomery, Alabama and grew up in Shorter, Alabama where my parents still live. I have one brother with whom I am very close. I attended Macon Academy K-12 and graduated in 1984. I then attended AUM, graduating in 1989 and started teaching in Eufaula. I was offered a job at Thompson in 1991 and then moved to MVES when it opened.
I have been married for 20 years to my wonderful husband, Jeff. We have one daughter, Kennedy, who is a Freshman at Troy University. We have one dog, Dunkin, who is a Golden Retriever that we adopted from a shelter. We also have one Siamese cat, Oscar, and one stray cat, Kitty.
My favorite past time is to read! I love to go to bookstores and just hang out! I also enjoy going to the movies and watching football- Go Warriors! Roll Tide! I try to make time everyday to workout either at the gym or go run at one of the great parks around Alabaster.
