Degrees and Certifications:
B.S. Speech-Language PathologyM.Ed. Collaborative Elementary Education
I grew up in a tiny town called West Point, MS and attended Oak Hill Academy from Kindergarten through 12th grade. After graduation, I attended the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. I received a Bachelors in Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Through my course work there, I developed a passion for working with special needs students. I decided to attend Montevallo University and study Elementary Collaborative Education. In December 2015, I received my Masters in Elementary Collaborative Education. Throughout my course work and field work, I was able to work with many diverse populations. Through these experiences, I truly knew that I was meant to be working with specials needs children. I believe that all children can be successful in their own way and on their own time. Patience, understanding, and flexibility are my super powers! This is my second year teaching at Thompson Sixth Grade Center and I couldn't be happier to be a part of such a special stepping stone for 6th graders.
