The ACS Operations department manages and supports the Transportation, Custodial, Maintenance and Capital Improvements programs.
This includes professional development opportunities for staff members in assigned areas of operations, the approval of purchases for the schools, along with the purchasing and disposal of supplies, materials and surplus equipment/property.
The Alabaster City School System will remain in compliance with EPA’s Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act of 1986 and will continue all necessary activities in accordance with EPA’s AHERA Act. This would include six month periodic surveillance, training of new employees and any required response actions.
