Welcome to TIS

  • Welcome to Thompson Intermediate School!  Our teachers and staff believe in working together with a true spirit of collaboration.  We are committed to the success of every student, and it is our privilege to have the opportunity to work with them each day.  Our teachers work hard to foster the skills that will enable every student to learn, serve, and lead on their road to becoming lifelong learners.

Our theme for this year is, "Be RELENTLESS, No EXCUSES, Bridge the GAP!" We are challenging our teachers and students to think about their beliefs about their own intelligence and how that has a significant impact on their motivation, effort, and approach to learning and challenges they are presented with.  Our goal is to guide students towards embracing growth that will help them reach their highest potential.

We maintain an open-door policy with all stakeholders and encourage you to become involved in the many activities sponsored by our outstanding PTO.  Our teachers and staff want you to feel appreciated and respected at all times. We look forward to seeing you as we make the 2019-20 school year an EXTRAORDINARY one at TIS!!!

    Sincerely,

    Brent Byars, Principal
